This time of year is all about making old things new and giving a new look to things we might not have thought about before.
While this denim skirt makeover from Sulky was done with the decorative stitches on a sewing machine, it would also be really fun to embrace slow fashion fully and do some stitching on your clothing by hand.
Break out the classic embroidery stitches or cross stitch a border on a skirt or a shirt pocket, or go big with a giant cross-stitched design on the front of a sweater.
Just a little bit of stitching can give your old clothes a new look, which seems like just the thing for a new year.
Have you ever stitched on clothing? I’d love to hear about it!
