This is an idea, not really a pattern, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find tiny cross-stitch patterns that would work for such a purpose.
A couple of years ago Laura at Habbledabble wrote about using stitchied gift tags that came as a freebie kit from a magazine, and they’re just so cute I thought it was an idea worth sharing even if those particular designs aren’t available.
It would be pretty easy to draw up your own designs of basic holiday shapes like a tree, stocking or gift box and stitch them on tiny bits of fabric. Stick them to a piece of card stock and you’ve got a great handmade gift tag that’s sure to be passed around for holidays to come.
