As I write this I’m sitting in my daughter’s school, next to windows that open onto their little butterfly garden. There are several butterflies flitting about on the butterfly bushes, and I don’t know if there is much more summery than that.
So I went on the hunt for butterfly cross stitch patterns, and found this easy one from Casa Lollipop. The text is in Italian but I think you get the idea.
She worked her version in a single color but you could also do the body in one color and the wings in another if you like.

Summertime is beach time, which also means it’s seagull time. Let’s stitch up some of our favorite scavengers of the shore.
