I don’t know why, but it feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve shared any free cross stitch patterns. I guess it’s just easy to search on Etsy when I’m looking for particular things and not take the time to scroll and embrace the randomness of looking on Pinterest or at random saved links.
But I was wandering around recently and found a link for The World In Stitches, which has a great collection of free cross stitch patterns you’ll want to check out.
One that caught my eye for the season we’re heading into is this All You Need is Love design. It was meant to be for spring but I think it would be lovely for Valentine’s Day as well.
It features cute 3D block lettering and is embellished with flowers, plant life and birds. I love the kind of retro looking colors of this one (which looks great with that font choice) but you can use any colors you like. If you were making it for Valentine’s Day you could add more pinks and reds, though there’s already a fair bit of pink here.
The pattern measures 82 by 114 stitches. That comes out to 5.13 by 7.13 inches, or 13.02 by 18.1 cm when stitched on 16 count fabric. As stitched it calls for 7 colors. It looks like it only uses full cross stitches, but there is quite a lot of back stitching so if you don’t like that you might want to skip this one.
Head to The World in Stitches to get a copy of this pattern, and scroll through to see more of their free cross stitch patterns. There’s lots of seasonal and holiday content if you like that sort of thing.
Also, let me know if the comments if you’ve got a favorite source or two for free cross stitch patterns, and I’ll try to share more of them!
