I’ve never done blackwork embroidery before, but it’s such a striking crafty that I’m always intrigued when I see it.

Wandering around Pinterest the other day I found this post from Craftster, showing a blackwork background behind a large E. It’s lovely (designed and stitched by Craftster user Homerof2, who shows some process photos in the post) and the repetitive pattern becomes rather simple once you get the hang of it.

Have you ever done blackwork? I’d love to hear about it!
