I sort of consider all of summer as being a patriotic season in America, kicking off with Memorial Day and running on through the Fourth of July and beyond. I feel like it’s appropriate to decorate with red, white and blue all season, and it’s certainly fine to be stitching patriotic sentiments throughout the summer.
I recently came across this stunning eagle and American flag cross stitch design from Kitty and Me Designs (scroll down the page a bit to find this chart and key, it’s the sixth pattern on the page as of this writing) and I just had to share it.
This very detailed design uses more than 40 colors, and yet only measures 4 by 5.5 inches on 14 count fabric. That’s a lot of color! But I’m sure it would be well worth it because it’s a gorgeous design. Check it out! And I’d love to know if you make it.
