We’ve shared a few project ideas for stitching for the Fourth of July, so it seems appropriate to dive into cross stitch charts for Canada Day as well.
I didn’t find a lot of free patterns out there, so if you know of more feel free to share them!
There’s a basic maple leaf pattern available at DLTK Kids, and if you do an image search for knit maple leaf charts you will find a lot of different options (I like this one, a Toronto Maple Leafs design by Twisted Bark Designs, free on Ravelry). I also found an image for a Canada crest design, credited to Susan B.
I love the Canada flag umbrella design from Le pointe de croix de martine (it’s in French, but charts are universal). And there’s a Mountie design and lots of other cute stuff at Les Blog des Dames.
For paid patterns, check out Let’s Visit Canada by Ursula Michael, the Moose cross stitch pattern from Stitchonomy, Canada Flag Heart cross stitch from BlueTopazStitchery, Proud 2 B Canadian from 5PrickedFinger5 (because is there anything more Canadian than a moose holding a Canadian flag?) and the funny Canadian Bacon design by NerdyLittleStitcher.
