I love the idea of this project as much as the execution. The Cross Stitch Roses Pincushion, designed by Helen Philipps for Sew and Sew is really pretty and practical, using cross stitch roses in the corners of a square pincushion, with plenty of space in the middle for pins to go without marring your work.
But this would be a great idea to do with different designs at the corners, such as initials, a different flower or another small motif.
You could use the chart included to determine how big to make your designs, and then just stitch in each corner, turning the design as necessary so that it always appears right side up when you look at it.
Have you ever stitched a pincushion? I’d love to hear about it.
