I love this idea for mounting a little bit of cross stitch and turning it into a necklace.
The project is from Floss and Fleece and uses a little diamond design, but you could use any little it of cross stitch in the same way.
It looks like it’s about the same size as half a bookmark, so if you have a bookmark design you like you could take part of it to make this project (or double this design to turn it into a bookmark and you can accessorize with your book (or does that only sound fun to me?).

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
