MoonLit Patterns is a UK-based Etsy shop full of spooky, gothic, cottagecore, and more with a magical twist.
One of the biggest categories on the site is “enchanted girls,” which includes women in different cozy scenes like stitching, writing in a journal and hanging out with butterflies.
I like this one of a gardener watering her plants and surrounded by flowers. The design is 200 by 200 stitches, which comes out to 14.3 inches or 36.3 square centimeters. It uses 38 colors.
Another large category is Halloween and spooky, which includes creepy houses, scenes in Mason jars, dusty bookshelves, black cats, dancing skeletons and ghosts on a train. Related is Gothic and dark academia, which has lots of crows and fantasy inspired designs with rich colors that look like stained glass windows.
There’s also celestial and fantasy, which is heavy on adorable dragons and fairies. And cottagecore and nature, where you’ll find a hobbit hole, mushrooms, cherry blossoms and mountain scenes.
There are also traditional Christmas patterns with Santa flying over different scenes, Christmas markets, gingerbread houses and other cozy scenes. There are sections for both animals and floral and birds and floral, with the bird section mostly being song birds (there’s a duck and bats in the animals section, so you might want to browse around if you’re looking for a particular animal).
In addition to all the individual patterns (and there are more than 600 as of this writing) the shop also has a range of pattern bundles that include lifetime access to the currently available patterns on that theme as well as access to all future patterns that fall into that category.
Current options include things like Dark Academia, fantasy and nature, as well as books, Christmas and Halloween. You can even buy the whole shop and all future patterns if you find that you like this shop’s style.
