Here’s another cute idea for a cross-stitched Easter card. The Easter Chick free cross stitch pattern from Sew and So (designed by Joanne Sanderson) features a chick breaking out of its egg.
It’s really cute and you can make the egg and flowers whatever colors you want.
It measures 29 by 32 stitches, which comes up 2 by 2.25 inches on 14-count fabric, and uses 11 colors, but you could always make the flowers all the same colors (or use fewer colors) if you don’t want to use that many.
I love the way this one looks as a card but I’m sure there are lots of other great uses for it, too.
