I have to admit this is not a presentation for cross stitch that I had thought of before!
We’ve seen cross stitch projects, framed (in an actual frame or using the hoop), made into pillows or otherwise stuffed, made into keyrings and all sorts of other things, so why not mounting on canvas?
It’s actually pretty easy so long as your project fabric is bigger than the canvas you want to mount it to, and it’s a nice look that’s a little less traditional than a regular frame.
Cupcake Cutie has the tutorial.
Have you ever done this? I think it would be really cool for a large project.

These backpack cross stitch patterns aren’t like the backpacks you would use for school, but they might inspire you to go on a different sort of adventure, and pack your sense of humor.
