When we think of cross-stitching, a lot of us think of the classic block shapes that are made with the x shape. But it’s possible to make less blocky shapes, and even curves, depending on the kind of stitches you use.
Storypiece has a great tutorial on using backstitch to make curves in a cross-stitch project. The design is of a sweet little stitched heart with a stitched needle and thread running through it. It’s so cute, and a great way to learn this fun technique.
Have you ever stitched curves in this way? I’d love to hear about it.
