Most of the time most people cross stitch on Aida or other fabric, but there are lots of other ways to add cross stitch to projects that started out with a different craft.
For example, you can cross stitch on top of crochet, as this video tutorial from Sewrella shows.
She stitched up a basic pillow then cross stitched a fox on the front, which is great for those who are new to cross stitch because the back of the work will be hidden so you don’t have to worry about it being too messy.
It turned out super cute and now I want to stitch over some crochet or knitting. Have you ever done this? I’d love to hear about it!
