I recently reviewed the super cute, Prince-inspired craft book, When Doves Craft, over on my main blog, Our Daily Craft, but I wanted to share it over here as well because it does have one cute cross stitch pattern in it.
I love the idea of doing a cross-stitch pattern of song lyrics, and it would be pretty easy to do with whatever favorite line you have. Just find a cross stitch alphabet you like and chart it out.
This book includes nine other really cute projects that might get you thinking about a favorite artist (musical or otherwise) who you might like to immortalize in stitches, paint or paper. Head to my blog for all the details!
One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
