I know I have seen the work of Raquel Rodrigo before, but it’s too pretty not to share whenever you come across it.
Rodrigo makes these huge outdoor floral cross-stitch installations, which she has installed in various locations in Madrid.
They’re made by stitching with yarn on a metal grid, which can be rolled up and taken to the installation site, where it is hung on a wall. They’re really interesting because of the scale, and the designs are beautiful, too.
I feel like maybe this is something we should all be doing!
I was reminded of these designs thanks to a story at This is Colossal; you can see a lot more on her Facebook page as well.
