Brooke’s Books recently featured characters from Little Women in charts for sale in her Craftsy shop and asked for input on other characters we’d like to see her provide for stitching. She’s added the most requested ones as the next in the Once Upon a Stitch series. The characters have to be in the public domain and these certainly qualify. They are the much beloved Wizard of Oz characters and Brooke has really done them justice. I thought I was in love with the Little Women characters, but I think I am even more in love with these little darlings. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
