Pokemon Cross-Stitch Patterns

July 15, 2016 by Sarah White

I was expecting to come in here today with a big list of Pokemon cross-stitch patterns, but instead, I’m just going to give you a couple of places to explore.

Trust me, it will be enough. That list a little later in this blog post but first…

On the one hand, cross-stitching is a relaxing and rewarding hobby that involves creating intricate designs by stitching small X-shaped stitches onto a piece of fabric. While it can be a time-consuming activity, the end result is a beautiful and unique piece of art that can be framed or used in a variety of ways.

Pokemon, on the other hand, is a massively popular franchise that has been around since 1996. It’s a video game series that has expanded into various media including anime, manga, and trading cards. The franchise features over 800 different species of Pokemon, each with their own unique designs and abilities.

So why combine these two hobbies? Well, combining these two passions by creating Pokemon cross-stitch patterns is a fun and creative way to express your love for the franchise while also honing your stitching skills. Whether you’re a seasoned cross-stitcher or just starting out, there’s sure to be a pattern that will catch your eye in the list that we are about to present.

Some popular Pokemon cross-stitch patterns include Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur, but there are also designs featuring other fan-favorite Pokemon like Eevee, Mewtwo, and Gyarados. Many patterns are available for free online, while others can be purchased as kits that include all the necessary materials.

Ok, so without further adieu, you really just need to visit Birdie Stitching for a ton of free cross-stitch charts of Pokemon characters. I won’t say that every character is represented, but there are many, many here. Charts are free to download for personal use. (There’s lots of other great stuff here, too.)

The other place you’ll want to check out is Gotta Stitch ’em All, the Tumblr of a crafter who is trying to stitch all 718 pokemon patterns. That makes me tired just thinking about it. But her cross stitch pokemon work is awesome so you should check it out.

Are you stitching anything Pokemon-related this weekend? I’d love to know what you’re working on.

Here are some fun Pokemon quotes you can add to your cross stitch samplers

“Gotta catch ’em all!” – Ash Ketchum
“I see now that one’s birth is irrelevant, it’s what you do that determines who you are.” – Mewtwo
“I’m not afraid of anything. Not even ghosts!” – Pikachu
“The only limit is the one you set for yourself.” – Ash Ketchum
“Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites.” – Karen
“It’s not always about winning, sometimes it’s about making a point.” – Misty
“The circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.” – Mewtwo
“I’ll use my trusty frying pan as a drying pan!” – Brock
“Pikachu, I choose you!” – Ash Ketchum
“It takes teamwork to make the dream work!” – Ash Ketchum
“The important thing is not how long you live. It’s what you accomplish with your life.” – Grovyle
“There’s no sense in going out of your way to get somebody to like you.” – Ash Ketchum
“I’m like a caterpillar who has transformed into a butterfly!” – James
“A Caterpie may change into a Butterfree, but the heart that beats inside remains the same.” – Brock
“Believe in yourself. Not in the you who believes in me. Not the me who believes in you. Believe in the you who believes in yourself.” – Kamina (not a Pokemon character, but featured in the anime series “Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us”)
