Ramadan is being observed this year starting on April 13, and one traditional greeting offered during that time is Ramadan Kareem, or generous Ramadan (meaning may the month be generous to you. Sidebar: some Muslims prefer to say Ramadan Mubarak, which means blessed Ramadan, because any generosity received should be credited to Allah rather than to the month itself.)
This design from Carole’s Cabinet 2020 on Etsy styles the greeting into a crescent shape. It’s a lovely design to have in your home or to give to someone who takes part in Ramadan, or even something to stitch during the holy month.
You can download the pattern from Etsy.

Cross stitch is not a craft I generally travel with (since I’m not that good at it, I prefer not to be moving while I’m doing it) but I’m sure there are lots of stitchers who would like to take their projects with them when they travel.
