This time of year I really need color, especially as the holiday decorations start getting put away and we’re left with a landscape of brown.
So I find myself wanting to craft with more color in the winter, and this jeweled elephant cross stitch pattern from Kreinik might be just the thing.
Designed by Lula Chang, it uses jewel-toned thread in six colors for extra sparkle. I know the photo is tiny but it’s a really lovely project!

Siren Stitchworks has cross stitch patterns that feel like old samplers (and some of them are in fact historical reproductions) even when they are modern designs. They have patriotic patterns, biscornus, pop culture patterns and more so let’s take a look.
