The pattern is kind of old, but thanks to a blog post over on KBB Crafts & Stitches I learned about this gorgeous little peacock purse cross stitch pattern from Craft Ideas.
To be accurate, it’s actually half stitch, worked on black Aida fabric, with the same pattern worked on both halves of the fabric, which is then folded in half, seamed, fringed and filled with a lining fabric.
It’s a really pretty project and, Kathleen says, it’s easier to make than it looks. The chart looks a little small but you can blow it up for easier stitching.
