Stitch a Rustic Heart for the Fourth of July

June 3, 2016 by Sarah White

Stitch a patriotic heart for the Fourth of July.Holiday related stitching patterns are so much fun to make and to use to decorate your house or household items you use during the holiday season.

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, this pretty little rustic Fourth of July Heart from Stitchin’ and Life in a Small Town is a great project to make.

It only measures about 2/5 inches square, so it’s a quick little project, which can be used on a greeting card or stitched onto a tea towel or napkin for the holiday. And while it is inspired by the flag there’s nothing strictly July 4th about it, so you could use it in decorating throughout the summer months, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Do you like to stitch for the Fourth? I’d love to know what you’re working on.

I’m working on a set of framed cross stitches to rotate throughout the year. All approximately the same size and I will change them for the appropriate holiday or season. I may try to see if I can figure out how to make this design bigger – 5×5 ish. Thanks for the chart!
