Hanukkah kind of snuck up on my this year! It begins on Dec. 2, a full 10 days earlier than last year, which I guess it why it feels so early.
If you celebrate, this great Hanukkah pattern from AC Moore is lovely. The sparkly thread is really nice, but I think this would also be pretty with a few beads stitched into the design.
It’s a good project for new stitchers and also has the fun technique of using memory thread to make the star.

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
