I am not much for complicated cross-stitch projects, but this sugar skull pattern just might change my mind.
It was printed in the French magazine Prima, excepted from the book Motifs Trash au point de croix (Trash Motifs in Cross Stitch) and you can get the full-size pattern as a JPEG from there.
While this design is large and will definitely take some concentration, it’s only nine colors, so it probably wouldn’t be as difficult as I imagine.
And it would make a fantastic pillow cover, or stitch it onto a sweatshirt for the perfect thing to wear on el dia de los muertos.
The stitched model shown, on black fabric, is from Ludivineem. Isn’t it gorgeous?
