A classic candy of Valentine’s Day (which I never liked, but it’s still cute, just like Peeps at Easter) is the conversation heart candies , and just like the Peep of Easter it’s a fun shape and idea to craft with.
Stitched Modern made cross-stitched conversation hearts using heart-shaped paper embroidery boards, but you could punch holes in card stock to achieve a similar effect, or just stitch on regular cross-stitch fabric and cut it into a heart shape when you’re done.
It wouldn’t be quite the same, but hey, we’re deadline crafting here.
This is a really easy project that would be super cute as a card, or stitch several and leave them in strategic places around the house for your loved one to find.
