Strawberry Cross Stitch Patterns

April 5, 2023 by Sarah White

It’s not quite strawberry season where I live, but as soon as the weather starts getting consistently warm I start looking out for local berries. They’re my favorite sign that summer is coming and one of my favorite things to look for at my local farmers market.

Whether strawberries are available where you live or you have a long time to wait, stitching strawberry cross stitch patterns is always appropriate. Here are a few cute ones to get you started.

This pretty strawberry from Ugly Duckling House actually looks juicy enough to eat! That’s probably because even though it’s only 50 by 53 stitches, it uses 21 colors. This one isn’t for beginners but it sure is luscious.

Amanda Gregory’s strawberry biscornu pattern features four strawberries that mirror each other. This pattern is just for the chart so you’ll need to look up instructions for making it a biscornu if you want to, though it’s pretty cute just stitched flat as a coaster or a flat pincushion.

This pretty strawberries and flowers pattern from Oh My Stitches Shop on Etsy just looks like summer. So many cheerful colors! It’s a bigger project, too, at 123 by 122 stitches, and uses 16 colors.

Hancock’s House of Happy has a super cute chocolate-dipped strawberry cross-stitch pattern that also looks good enough to eat. There’s also a recipe for chocolate strawberries in the post.

Wanderling Stitches on Etsy shares this pretty pattern with a brown (chocolate?) rabbit and a strawberry plant. It’s 45 by 73 stitches and uses only whole cross stitches so it’s a good one for beginners. It’s also part of a series of seasonal bunny patterns if that’s a thing that appeals to you.

Or check out this pattern with two strawberries from Etsy seller Wistful Bird. I love the colors on this one, too. It fits in a four-inch hoop so it’s perfect for hanging in the kitchen or stitching on an apron or tea towel.
