The Ukranian woman who stood up to a Russian soldier and told him to take the sunflower seeds so he would grow flowers after he died in her country immediately became an icon of the cause of the Ukrainians.
Her words have also started to grace a lot of craft projects, including this sunflower cross-stitch pattern from Two Little Kits.
The design shows growing sunflowers and her quote. It uses 12 colors and comes out to 4.6 by 3.9 inches on 14-count fabric. It uses cross stitch and back stitch and you can grab the free pattern from the Two Little Kits website.

I have never stitched a greeting card, but I kind of like the idea of it. It’s a card and a gift all in one, and hopefully one the recipient will hang onto for years to come.
