Facebook works in mysterious ways, but the other day it sent me something good, in the form of a link to Durene Jones Cross Stitch. She’s a UK cross-stitch designer and regularly shares free patterns.
Last week’s freebie was this tea and coffee set that includes pots and mugs you could work up in your favorite colors to hang by your coffee pot or stitch onto tea towels.
The charts are available on her Facebook page; check her out on Etsy, too!

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
