It’s a fine time to stitch up a turkey themed cross stitch pattern for Thanksgiving or any time you want to be reminded to be thankful.
This gobble til you wobble design from Small Cross Stitch Co is decidedly Thanksgiving in nature (unless you also eat turkey for Christmas). It has six options for wording to go under the turkey including “pour some gravy on me” and “Happy Thanksgiving.” Or you can just stitch up the turkey, which is only 36 by 34 stitches, or 2.6 by 2.5 inches/6.6 by 6.4 cm on 14 count fabric.
The Give Thanks tiny Quaker sampler form Studio HMP has a fall feel and would be pretty to have out throughout the season. This one is 79 by 79 stitches, which comes out to 5.9 inches/14.3 cm square on 25 count Laguna over 2 strands, which is what is shown in use in the photo (and which is similar in count to 14 count Aida). It uses eight colors.
Cute Patterns by Maria has this cute Happy Thanksgiving design that would be fun to stitch as is or you can take each of the icons and stitch them on napkins, an apron, or a tea towel. The design as shown uses 23 colors and comes out to 67 by 59 stitches. On 14 count fabric that is about 4.7 by 4.3 inches, or 12 by 11 cm.
Remember to be thankful all through the fall with this Thankful garland pattern from My Lovely Embroidery NB. It features five fall leaves with different things to be thankful for stitched on them. The font is pretty simple if you want to change the words, but the ones included are pretty nice. The design is 145 by 137 stitches, and uses 19 colors in full cross stitches and back stitching. On 14 count fabric it will be 10.36 by 9.79 inches, or 23.02 by 21.75 cm. The pattern includes measurements for other counts if you want to make it smaller.
I already shared some cross stitch patterns specific to America 250, but if you want to cross stitch something more general for the Fourth of July, these patriotic sampler style patterns are a great place to start.
