KBB Crafts and Stitches is the old blog of Kathleen Berlew, and even though she doesn’t update it anymore it has a great collection of projects as well as some free cross stitch patterns.
For this time of year the acorn and crow pattern (this is a link to a PDF pattern) is really pretty and a different take on a traditional fall motif.
It uses four colors and is about 1 1/4 inches square. It would be great to use on a fall-themed holiday tree, or even to make tiny napkin rings for the holiday table.

Summer is the time for sweet treats, whether eating them or stitching them. This collection of patterns is full of designs that are good enough to eat. Almost.
