We usually think of cross stitch as something we do on canvas or fabric, but there are lots of other possibilities.
I remember the first time I sewed with my sewing machine on paper and it just opened up a whole world of new ideas; it’s the same with cross-stitching on paper.
If you’ve never tried this fun technique before, check out the tutorial and tips over at Stitched Modern. Probably the most important thing is having heavy enough paper that won’t tear when you poke holes in it, but once you get a feel for it, adding stitching to paper is a lot of fun.
Have you ever tried it? I’d love to know what you made!
