Valentine’s Day Mini Cross Stitch Patterns

January 12, 2026 by Sarah White

I love a little cross stitch pattern, and these mini Valentine’s Day cross stitch patterns can help you spread a little love without a lot of work.

If you want to keep it really tiny, try these mini hearts from Bella Rose Craft. They are made to fit in hoops with a 1 inch/2.5 cm center. One is 13 by 12 stitches and the other is 9 by 12, so they’ll stitch up in no time to make adorable ornaments or tiny pendants.

Get a whole bunch of little options with a Valentine’s Day twist with this collection of 20 mini patterns from Sampler Cross Stitch. The designs vary a bit in size but all of them would fit in a 4-inch hoop.

Another set of little designs comes from Teeny Weeny X Stitch, which presents its 20 minis sampler style, though of course you can just stitch one or several depending on your needs. All of the designs are smaller than 40 by 40 stitches so they would all fit in a 3 inch hoop. The full set is 219 by 221 stitches and uses 51 colors.

These fun hearts with different patterns from Climbing Goat Designs are all shown in one piece, but you could pick out a single one to stitch on a card or put in a little frame. The full set is 97 by 90 stitches and use 15 colors. That’s about 6.9 by 6.4 inches, or 17.6 by 16.3 cm, when stitched on 14 count fabric.

And this collection of hearts with different designs from Aliton Embroidery is super sweet. I think the brick patterned one is my favorite. They all use just one color and are 31 by 28 stitches, which comes out to 5.62 by 5.08 inches or 2.2 by 2 cm on 14 count fabric.

Make a tiny pillow to express your love with this project from You Sew Creative Studio. This one could be a display item or a pincushion. I love the tiny heart shaped button! The cross-stitched part is 30 by 37 stitches, and the full pincushion is 5 by 5 inches (13 by 13 cm). It looks like it uses four or five colors of floss.

Cross Stitch Ice Cream and Frozen Treats

Summer is the time for sweet treats, whether eating them or stitching them. This collection of patterns is full of designs that are good enough to eat. Almost.

This year of ice creams from Simone Balman Art is lots of fun, and you could also stitch up these treats individually if you’d rather. The full piece is 210 by 300 stitches, though it’s not full coverage. It uses 25 colors and comes out to 13.6 by 20.1 inches, or 34.5 by 51.2 cm, as shown on 14 count fabric.

These mini Popsicles from Mariana Gonclaves ART as super sweet and quick to stitch. These would also be a fun border to another summer project. The full design is 43 by 46 stitches, which is 3.1 by 3.3 inches, or 7.8 by 8.3 cm, on 14 count fabric.

Sam X Stitch has this fun sweet treat sampler, which again would be fun to stitch as individual pieces (maybe on napkins?). In all it calls for 18 colors and measures 153 by 153 stitches. That comes out to 10.93 inches or 27.75 cm on 14 count fabric.

Another great sampler is this one with ice cream and other sweet treats from Cute Patterns by Maria. At 119 by 132 stitches total, working the full pattern would be about 8.6 by 9.4 inches, or 22 by 24 cm on 14 count fabric, and it uses 33 colors. You can also stitch individual designs, which range in height from 35 to 45 stitches, and in width from 11 to 28.

This collection of four sundae patterns from Stichrovia would be fun to make for a kitchen or a teen’s room. Each pattern is around 40 by 50 stitches, so they should fit in a four or five inch hoop if worked on 14 count fabric.

Or stitch up one of the treats from Stitch Chart Studio‘s collection of seven ice cream cross stitch patterns. These range in size and in number of colors needed, but most would fit in a five or six in hoop (and one in a four inch hoop).
