Recently I shared charts that were square shaped. This time, it is the circles that are the theme. Chez Mamigoz is featuring four sea-themed circles that will be so fun to stitch and are perfect for this time of year – in the Western Hemisphere at least. If you are living down under, you can save them for later. I can almost feel the sand between my toes when I look at these little badges. Add them to a tote for all your beach necessities. Won’t that be fun? Get the free chart.

Funny Dog Cross Stitch Patterns
Last month I shared a bunch of cat cross stitch patterns, so it seemed only fair that I add some dog cross stitch projects to the mix. I’d actually been saving up this punny hot dog pattern for a while, so it was the perfect starting point for a collection of funny dog cross stitch patterns.
This one is from My Darling Plum, and it features a dachshund crossed with a hot dog. It calls for six colors and uses whole and half stitches, as well as back stitching and French knots. On 14 count fabric it measures 3.5 by 2.4 inches, or 8.89 by 6 cm, but the pattern includes sizing for different stitch counts if you want to make it smaller and turn it into an ornament or card.
Snoopy has the right idea in this simple cross stitch pattern from Mamaida Pattern that just says Nope. It uses three colors and would be a good one for a new stitcher. It measures 64 by 37 stitches, which is 4.6 by 2.6 inches or 11.6 by 6.7 cm on 14 count fabric (this one also shows different counts if you want ti to be smaller).
This sweet dog face is sure to bring a smile to your face! This little Shiba Inu from Rainbow Hunt XStitch fully fills a three-inch hoop and measures 41 by 41 stitches. It uses 12 colors. The designer has a couple of other dog faces and quite a few cats as well, but this is a dog post so we won’t talk about that.
And of course funny dog cross stitch patterns don’t actually have to include dogs. Like this one from Cross Stitch Traveler that lets everyone know who is really in charge in your household (yes, it’s the dog). It uses seven colors, but you could easily change the colors on the leaves to suit your decor if you want. The piece measures 138 by 134 stitches, or 9.75 by 9.5 inches/25 by 24.3 cm on 14 count fabric.
Or you can remind people that going out with you will always take longer than they think if there are dogs around. This one is from Helen’s Crossing and is available as a pattern or a full kit. The kit uses 14 count fabric and an 8 inch hoop, and the design is 84 by 78 stitches.
