Lest you think my taste runs totally to comic, snarky stitches – I do have a penchant for sweet stitches too. One chart in my stash to stitch someday is Loretta Oliver’s free Valentine Cross Stitch pattern which is so pretty and could be stitched not just for Valentine’s Day, but for any love-filled occasion – like my anniversary which comes up in December.

Now before you thing I’ve gone all gooey-eyed and treacly, let me tell you that when I stitch this chart, I will be so tempted to use white fabric and then use glow in the dark floss from DMC to stitch “BITE ME” me in tiny letters (Sorry Loretta for subverting your design a little.) I know my DH (dear husband) will just LOVE it!

I also have that freebie in the future to-do list someday. I would like to try it with variegated floss. Your glow-in-the-dark secret comment is funny, though!

Thank you for the kind mention of, and I think I would LOVE your tiny modification to the pattern ;) It sounds perfect!
