I was looking for summer themed cross stitch patterns the other day and I came across this cute trio of beach holiday inspired cross stitch patterns from the World in Stitches.
The first is a sandcastle, then a beach cabana and a beach chair and umbrella. They’re pictured right to left in the photo above.
Each pattern fits in a five-inch frame when stitched on 16-count fabric or a six-inch frame on 14-count. They each use 12 or 13 coordinating colors and are super cute together or separately.

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
