I found this free summer cross stitch design from Modern Home Decor the other day and it would be so cute in a beach house or by the door to the garden, or even on a pillow.
The design features bird houses, the sun, flowers and more summery stuff, and is shown on four different colored backgrounds. It uses a whopping 47 colors in a design that’s 19.23 by 4.71 inches on 14-count fabric.
What a fun summer project that would be!
You have to actually go through the ordering process to get the download, but it is free.

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
