Making cross-stitch designs on the computer makes it possible to make designs that are a lot more detailed than in the days when charts were designed by hand.
An amazing example is this Star Wars cross stitch pattern featuring tons of characters, ships and other details.
It was designed by Creatively Stitching and uses about 100 colors in a design that comes out about 40 inches square on 16 count fabric.
This super-intricate design is $21.99, which is a lot for a pattern, but well worth it for a Star Wars superfan.

I hope that before you decided to give free advertising to this Etsy seller you checked to see if they had obtained a license from Disney to sell this cross stitch chart.
Given how closely Disney guards their property I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that this chart violates both copyright and trade mark laws. I don’t think this website is in the habit of promoting those crimes.
