I love it when two crafts combine to make something even more special than either one of them could do alone. One craft that shows up in a lot of other crafts is quilting, probably because the graphic, geometric shapes are easy to reproduce in paint, yarn and stitching.

I love this rainbow quilt cross stitch sampler pattern from Durene J Cross Stitch, which is on Etsy. In this 89 by 119 stitch project you’ll stitch a bunch of tiny squares in a bunch of colors and have a lot of fun doing it.
Speaking of rainbows, this easy rainbow cross stitch block pattern is tiled so that you’re repeating the same block throughout, just in different colors. You can get it from Tango Stitch on Gumroad.
The Flea Market Flowers pattern by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet isn’t necessarily inspired by a quilt, but the individual blocks holding the different flowers remind me of quilting. The Etsy shop A Feathered Stitch has a handful of quilt block inspired cross stitch patterns, including the one pictured above that is a traditional tulip design.
