Daisy Cross Stitch Patterns

April 7, 2026 by Sarah White

There are so many great flowers in spring, but daisies are one of my favorites. They’re a favorite of cross stitch designers, too, as I learned when I went looking for daisy cross stitch patterns and found a ton. Here are just a few that caught my eye. It turns out they’re the birth flower of May, so you can stitch them up for a May baby’s birthday or any other occasion.

If you want to keep it super simple or you’re a beginner, this daisy cross stitch pattern from Atelier Tiphanie is a great one. It uses six colors and is 40 by 40 stitches, so it should be a pretty fast project, too.

Luzatoyle has another easy daisy pattern that looks like they’ve been freshly plucked. This charming little design is 2.5 by 3 inches (6.35 by 7.62 cm) or 35 by 43 stitches and uses five colors.

Looking for a cross stitch kit to make a daisy? This one from Helens Crossing includes black fabric, a 4-inch hoop, thread and a needle. It’s rated for beginners so this might be a good one to gift someone new to cross stitch who loves flowers.

Or how about a daisy bookmark? This one form Natalka Studio is 31 by 99 stitches and uses 7 colors. That measures 2.2 by 7.1 inches or 5.6 by 18 cm on 14 count fabric and it’s an allover pattern, so you might need to add a little extra fabric for edging if you want.

This bee and daisy pattern from Mariana Goncalves ART is super sweet and pretty easy, too. It measures 70 by 70 stitches, or 5 by 5 inches (that’s 12.7 cm) on 14 count fabric, which is super cute in a 6-inch hoop.

This wreath of daisies from The Fresh Cross Stitch is also pretty and not too difficult, though it is a larger pattern at 150 by 150 stitches. It uses 8 colors and on 14 count fabric comes out to 10.7 inches or 27 cm square.

Playing on the idea that daisies are April’s flower is this sweet pattern from Stitch Haus Studio Shop (leave the word April off if you prefer). The design comes out to 10.7 by 14.3 inches (27.2 by 36 cm) on 14 count fabric and uses 14 colors.

I love this watercolor daisy pattern from XStitchPatternX because it looks like the flowers are still growing in a field of wildflowers. This pattern uses 28 colors and measures 108 by 200 stitches. On 14 count fabric that would come out to 7.87 by 14.7 inches, or 20.3 by 36.3 cm.

Cross Stitch Cards for All Occasions

I have never stitched a greeting card, but I kind of like the idea of it. It’s a card and a gift all in one, and hopefully one the recipient will hang onto for years to come.

This collection of easy and colorful greeting card cross stitch patterns from Susan Bates (via Gathered) are a great place to start if you want to stitch your own greeting cards.

These text-based designs cover a lot of card-sending events, such as:

  • get well soon
  • happy birthday
  • thank you
  • thinking of you
  • congratulations
  • anniversary
  • new home
  • good luck

The lettering is done in gradients and there are other details like hearts and stars, a house key and a gift, depending on the text. There are full cross stitches and back stitch on all of the cards, and they use 15 colors for the cross stitching and six for the back stitching (and just two colors are used for both, so it’s 19 colors total).

The designs vary a bit in size but the biggest one is 52 by 67 stitches, which comes out to 3.75 by 4.75 inches or 9.5 by 12 cm when worked on 14 count fabric or 28 count evenweave. The text suggests beads are also used in the patterns but there’s no note of them in the key, so go wild and add some beads if you like.

Designs are worked on a price of 6 by 8 inch/15 by 20 cm fabric and then mounted to a card with a colorful baking piece of card stock behind it. This is easy to assemble with whatever cardstock greeting cards you have on hand.

You can get the free charts as a PDF from Gathered.

Have you ever stitched your own greeting cards? I’d love to hear about it, or let me know if these inspire you to try.
