It’s always fun to see something from popular culture make it into the world of crafting, and the statement “nevertheless she persisted,” which became a rallying cry for women recently, seems an especially appropriate sentiment for stitching.
Haley at the Zen of Making combined the words with a row of pussyhat-clad protestors in a way that I just love. I definitely want one of these!
And Subversive Cross Stitch put the words into a traditional border, making it look like an old-fashioned sampler with a modern message. That design is $14 for a kit that includes the chart, thread and fabric (or $20 to add in a hoop and needles).
Would you stitch one of these statements? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Summer is the time for sweet treats, whether eating them or stitching them. This collection of patterns is full of designs that are good enough to eat. Almost.
