August is not a month with a lot of holidays in it (except my birthday, which should totally be a holiday where we all stay home and craft) but one silly holiday to be found in the month falls on August 13, which is Creamsicle Day.
To celebrate, eat a creamsicle while you stitch a creamsicle, with this free pattern from Wonderstrange.
You know it’s the right thing to do.

One of the easiest ways to make a cross stitch project more personal is to add text to it. Whether you’re adding the names of people getting married to a generic floral cross stitch design, birth information to a project on theme with the new baby’s room or just adding a word or phrase that’s meaningful to you, adding words to cross stitch projects make them that much more special.
